Dmitri Julius

Chief People Officer at ICON

BIO:

Dmitri Julius has dedicated his life to working on big problems in service to humanity, most recently and notably as the Chief People Officer and VP Special Projects of ICON, the construction technologies company using construction-scale 3D printing to tackle the global housing crisis and prepare to build on other worlds. ICON has been named one of the “Most Innovative Companies in the World” by Fast Company and is continually setting new standards for delivering resilient, dignified housing at high-speed and lower cost.  Raising $451 million to date in funding, ICON has delivered communities of 3D-printed homes in the U.S. and internationally and forged partnerships with world-renowned architects, builders and housing organizations missionally aligned to shift the paradigm of homebuilding. In his role, Julius is building and cultivating an elite, adaptive, and diverse team to support ICON’s mission and strategic vision. Before joining ICON, Julius was the Regional Sales Manager and Store Director for TreeHouse, the Home Upgrade Company. He managed the Flagship retail store, retail staff, sales teams, and oversaw scoping and installation of sold construction projects. Before his work at TreeHouse, Julius served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years as an operations and logistics troop staff, non-commissioned officer. Both in wartime and peacetime, Julius has been focused on small unit leadership, effective over communication, and minicanal focus on achieving outsized results. Julius has a Bachelor of Science in biology and military science from St. Edward’s University. He is currently completing his Master’s of Education in sports management at Texas A&M University. Julius resides in Austin, Texas, and is a father of two, single engine pilot, marathon runner, dog enthusiast, and has a passion for social justice, venture investment, philanthropy, and international travel.

Lasen McGettigan

Lasen has over 12 years of experience in HR leadership roles. As the Vice President of People at Eventus, she oversees all aspects of the company’s people strategy, including talent management, employee engagement, retention, learning and development, culture, and total rewards.Lasen began her career in Human Resources as an HR Generalist for an energy start-up company, where she quickly rose through the ranks and gained extensive experience in all aspects of human resources. Over the years, she has built multiple HR platforms focusing on inclusiveness, employee experience, and alignment of the HR strategy with the business priorities.Prior to joining Eventus, Lasen served as the Director of Human Resources for a producer services firm, where she led the implementation of a comprehensive human resources program from inception that resulted in improved employee growth, engagement, and retention.At Eventus, Lasen develops and executes the company’s overall people strategy in alignment with the organization’s business objectives. She is also focused on talent management, fostering a global inclusive culture, positive employee experience through learning and development opportunities, engagement and retention initiatives, and career growth trajectory for all global employees.

Before founding her HR Advising & Consultancy business – Agile in HR, Mindy held a Chief People Officer role at TCP Software and HR leadership roles at Spiceworks Ziff Davis, HomeAway.com, Blackbaud, and Expedia. Mindy is based in Austin, Texas, sits on the board for the non-profit Love Justice International, and co-founded the Austin Women in Agile meetup. When she is not busy with people, she can be found reading, walking her dogs, traveling, or hiking.
